This is a rabbit that was modeled in Maya. While I did not model it, I did add the fur texture, the grass, the mohawk, and the crate of dynamite.

ZBrush Human Head

Good news, it seems that day has come early. Thanks to an associate, I figured out how to get a mouth on my character. Now all that's left is to put the ears on.
I recently started  working in ZBrush. I'll admit, it is really hard to get used to but once you do, you can make something really impressive. This is my first alien head in ZBrush. One day, I will add the mouth.

UDK Project Prison Escape Playthrough

UDK Project: Prison Escape Post 5

For a while there has been a problem with the level that has been hard to solve. The player is meant to escape  using an ATV near the pier in order to escape. However, the guards kept stealing it for themselves. While the vehicle can respawn, it would take too long for the game and it would break the flow. For a while, I experimented with the number of guards and prisoners so that everyone would be too occupied to steal the vehicle, Unfortunately, that didn't work but I found another solution, having more than one vehicle. That can work for not until I can get a more permanent fix for the problem.

UDK Project: Prison Escape Post 4

Recently, I encountered a clipping problem with the elevator. It would clip into a vent that the player would crawl through. While the player couldn't be in the vent at the time, it was still distracting. I fixed it be creating an entirely new elevator.

UDK Project: Prison Escape Post 3

I have created the particle effects for the level. Since the level was supposed to take place during a prison riot, I decided that there needed to be some smoke coming from the prison.

Softimage Project: Portal Test Chamber Post 3

In my latest version of the project, I have created a glowing core in the portal gun and I have replaced the floor texture with something a little more impressive. However, the floor lights are not all lighting up and I am not satisfied with the projectile coming from the portal gun.

In the latest version of the project, I changed some things including the position of the cube, the floor texture and the design of the door. I also removed the graffiti that was on the right wall.  Overall, the only thing that I am not satisfied with is the portal gun. I am planning on completly redesigning it so that it looks more like the gun from Portal.

Softimage Project: Portal Test Chamber Post 1

In this project, I am taking inspiration from a portal test chamber #4 and adding to it. For refrencce, I used this image.

So far I have modeled this.

As you can see, I have done my best to replicate the first person view that is in portal. I am planning on adding the floor lights and editing the the glass texture in the observation room later. I may also try to make the floor slightly dirtier in order to add some more color to it.

This is the outside exterior of my level. Everything  in it has been working so far. Then the player firs gets outside, they will walk into a huge battle between the other prisoners and the guards. 



In between the snipers , guards on the ground and the gunship, the other prisoners will most likely die before they can get to the escape vehicle meant for the player. When the player gets to it they must get to the end of the pier in order to get to the gunship to beat the level. Obviosly, there will be guards there to stop you.





At the end of the level you take the gunship and escape.



UDK Project: Prison Escape Post 2

While it started as  a project to work on to pass the time, it has since grown to one of the largest levels that I have ever built in UDK. I am also happy to report that while there were a few issues with spawning enemies and allies and with bots stealing vehicles meant for the player but those have been fixed. Here is a screenshot of the interior part of the level.

While not required for the level, I have decided to attempt to create custom weapons for this project. I chose to base the gun on  a submachine gun. This is what has been modeled so far.
